FAQ
The questions we get most about staying at Dutch Treat.
What's included with my stay?+
All linens and bath towels, hair dryers, toiletries to start, central AC and heat, full Whirlpool kitchen with everything stocked for cooking, washer/dryer, high-speed WiFi, and Smart TVs in every room (bring your own Netflix/Hulu/HBO login). Plus the beach gear: two bikes, two trailers (one cargo, one kid), a loaded beach cart, four chairs, and an umbrella.
Can I bring my pet?+
No pets, sorry — it's a firm policy for this property.
How does check-in work?+
Check-in is 4:00 PM. We send you a door code a few days before arrival — no lockbox fumbling, no key handoff. Check-out is 9:00 AM, firm.
Is parking included?+
Yes — parking for at least three cars in the pull-through driveway, plus you're on a corner lot with extra room.
How close is the beach?+
Blue Mountain Beach public access is at the end of Old Blue Mountain Rd — a 10-minute walk, or quicker on the bikes. The community pool is closer: just 3 minutes on foot.
Is the community pool free for guests?+
Yes, guests have full access to the community pool included with the stay.
Do I need to bring towels or linens?+
Linens and bath towels for every bed and bath are provided.
What's the minimum stay?+
Most of the year it's 3–5 nights. Peak summer (Jun 1 – Aug 15) is 7 nights, typically Saturday to Saturday. Spring break and major holidays bump to 5–7 nights.
When is payment due?+
50% deposit at booking, balance due 30 days before check-in. Damage deposit collected at check-in and refunded within 5 days after check-out.
What's the cancellation policy?+
Full refund more than 60 days before check-in. 50% refund 30–60 days before. No refund within 30 days of check-in.
Is the home good for kids?+
It's built for them. Dedicated Kid Cave with two bunk beds and a 40-inch Smart TV, a fully fenced back yard for safe play, pack-n-play available, and the kid bike trailer means everyone can ride to the beach.
Who do I contact during my stay?+
Katie or Bas — the owners. Real people answering the phone and email, not a property management company.
